C/COL MORGAN BENNETT

Cadet Morgan Bennett joined Alabama Wing’s Pell City Composite Squadron in January 2003, and earned her Spaatz Award in June 2008. She is the Cadet Commander for the 2008 Alabama/Mississippi Encampment. The Cadet Commander is responsible for planning the encampment and overseeing the execution of activities.

Cadet Bennett has attended four cadet encampments, most recently serving as the Cadet Deputy Commander of the 2008-2009 Alaska Wing Winter Encampment. In addition, she has attended seven National Cadet Special Activities in the past and has been selected as an ambassador to Australia in the 2009 International Air Cadet Exchange.

Currently serving as the Assistant Emergency Services Officer for the Auburn Composite Squadron, Cadet Bennett holds multiple mission ratings on both ground teams and aircrews. The Ground Team Leader School Cadet Training Advisor for Alabama Wing’s Field Training Exercise Cycle, Cadet Bennett was selected to serve as the Cadet Executive Officer for the 2009 Basic GSAR School at NESA.

A student at Auburn University, Cadet Bennett is majoring in Polymer and Fiber Engineering. She is a member of the Society of Women Engineers, the Auburn University Hovercraft Team, the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, and the University Honors College. When’s she’s not studying, Cadet Bennett’s favorite forms of procrastination include playing guitar and attending Columbus Cottonmouths ice hockey games.
